What is ZEDPREX and what is it used for?
The ZEDPREX capsule is offered in a cardboard box in blisters of 16 capsules, 24 capsules or 30 capsules.
ZEDPREX is included in the group of drugs known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressants.
This medicine is used to treat any of the following in adults
What are the Side Effects?
Like all drugs, there may be side effects in people who are sensitive to substances found in the content of ZEDPREX iber.
If any of the following happens, stop using ZEDPREXi and report it to your doctor immediatelyapply to the emergency department of the trail or the nearest hospital: you:
• if you notice a severe rash on your vein or if an allergic reaction occurs, such as itching, swelling in the lips/tongue or stenosis/breath,
If you notice any of the following, tell your doctor immediately or contact the emergency department of the hospital closest to you.
• Weakness, lethargy or confusion in people who are mostly elderly and receiving diuretics (diuretics)
If you notice any of the following, tell your doctor.
Risk of bone fractures Increased risk of bone fractures has been observed in patients taking this type of medication.
In addition to the side effects listed above in children and adolescents, ZEDPREX slows growth or possibly leads to a delay in sexual maturity. Nasal bleeding has been widely reported in the cold sores.
Most of these side effects go away when treatment is continued. These are mild side effects of ZEDPREX.
How is ZEDPREX Used?
Always take ZEDPREX ⁇ exactly as your doctor tells you to. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Use in children
ZEDPREX ⁇ is not recommended for use in children and adolescents.
Use in the elderly:
If you are older, your doctor will be more careful when increasing the dose, and the daily dose should generally not exceed two capsules (40 mg). The maximum dose is 3 capsules per day (60 mg).
Special Use Cases
Kidney /Heavy insufficiency
Patients with impaired renal function do not need to adjust a special dose other than the dose recommended by the doctor.
If you have a liver-related problem or are taking another medication that may affect ZEDPREXI, your doctor may decide to give you a lower dose or to tell you to use ZEDPREXI every two days.
Unless your doctor gives you a separate recommendation, follow these instructions.
Do not forget to take your medicine on time.
Your doctor will let you know how long your treatment with ZEDPREX will last. Do not stop treatment early because you cannot get the desired result.
If you have an impression that the ZEDPREXin effect is too strong or weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

What to Do in case of Overdose?
Talk to a doctor or pharmacist who has used more than you should use ZEDPREX.
If you have taken too much medicine, contact the emergency room of the nearest hospital immediately or report the situation to your doctor immediately.
If possible, take the ZEDPREX box with you.
Symptoms of overdose include: Nausea, vomiting, seizures, problems with the heart (such as irregularity in the heartbeat and cardiac arrest), lung-related problems, and changes in the mood that progress from restlessness to coma.
What Should I Do When I Forget to Use ZEDPREX?
If you forget to take a dose, do not worry. Take your next dose at normal time the next day.
Do not take double doses to offset forgotten doses.
Taking your medicine at the same time every day will help remind you that you need to take your medicine regularly every day.
Post Treatment For Those Using ZEDPREX
Do not discontinue treatment with ZEDPREX unless your doctor tells you to. It is important that you continue to take your medicine. Even if you feel better, do not leave your medication without asking your doctor.
When you suddenly stop using ZEDPREX, you may notice the following effects (absorption effects): Tingling sensation such as dizziness, needling, sleep disorders (live dreams, nightmares, inability to sleep), feeling restless or agitated, and, unusual fatigue or weakness, feeling anxious, nausea/vomiting, chills, headaches.
According to most people, all the symptoms seen when ZEDPREX is stopped are mild and go away on their own within a few weeks. If you experience symptoms when you stop treatment, consult your doctor.
When you are taking ZEDPREX ⁇ , your doctor will recommend that you slowly reduce your dose within a week or two. This helps to reduce the risk of the effects that may occur in terminating the treatment.
If you have additional questions about the use of ZEDPREX ⁇ , consult your doctor or pharmacist. If you experience these or any other disease effects, tell your doctor.
Things to consider before using ZEDPREX
Who Shouldn't Use ZEDPREX?
• you are allergic to fluoxetine or any of the other components of ZEDPREX (hypersensitivity). If you develop a rash or other allergic reactions (such as itching, percentage, or swelling of the lips or shortness of breath), stop taking your medication immediately and tell your doctor immediately.
• if you are using drugs known as nonseminative monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOs) or reversible (MAOIs) type A (also known as MAOs, which are also used to treat depression), in this case, serious, even fatal reactions may occur. Examples of MAOIs are: nialamide, iproniazide, moclobemide, phenelzine, tranilsipromine, isocarboxazide and toloxaton and linazolid (antibiotic) used to treat depression.
On the other hand, if you are receiving irreversible MAOI (e.g., tranilsipromine) treatment, fluoxetine should be started at least 2 weeks after discontinuation of the drug. However, the treatment of fluoxetine may be started the day after discontinuation of some reversible MAOIs (moclobemide, linezolid, for example) called MAOI-A.
Do not take any of your MAOIs for at least five weeks after you stop taking ZEDPREX. If ZEDPREX has been given for a long period of use and/or at a high dose, your doctor should consider extending the interval.
What Should People Using ZEDPREX Pay Attention to?
• if you have sarah disease (epilepsy) or have had seizures in the past, have seizures, or have an increase in seizure frequency, tell your doctor immediately; you may need to discontinue use of ZEDPREX;
• If you have diabetes (diabetes) (your doctor may need to adjust the dose of insulin or other antidiabetic treatment);
• if you have a history of bleeding disorder or bruises or unusual bleeding occurs;
Is It Used With Other Drugs?
Suicidal thinking and worsening of your depression or anxiety disorder
If you have mental depression (depression) and/or anxiety (anxiety) disorders, you may have thoughts of self-harm or suicide. This risk may increase when you first start taking antidepressants. Because it usually takes 2 weeks, sometimes longer to show the effect of these drugs.
In this case, you can think of it as follows:
• adult. Information from clinical trials has shown an increased risk of suicidal behavior in adults with psychiatric conditions under the age of 25 who have been treated with antidepressants.
If you have thoughts of self-harm or suicide at any time, contact your doctor or go to the hospital immediately.
It may be helpful to tell any of your relatives that you have depression or anxiety disorder. Ask them to read this instruction. You may want them to tell you that your depression or anxiety is getting worse, or that they are concerned about changes in your behavior.
When patients under the age of 18 take this class of drugs, there is an increased risk of suicide attempts, suicidal thoughts, and side effects such as opposition (mainly aggression, confrontation, and anger). Long-term safety knowledge of ZEDPREX urn, growth, puberty, spiritual, emotional and behavioral development is limited. ZEDPREX is not recommended for use in children and adolescents.
If these warnings apply to you, even at any time in the past, please consult your doctor.
Food and Beverage Consumption with ZEDPREX
What are the foods and drinks that are inconvenient to be consumed with the specified medication? What should we eat or not eat?
You can take ZEDPREX ‘i with or separately with food according to your preference. You should avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine.
Is it Used During Pregnancy (Pregnancy) Period?
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.
There are reports that during the first few months of pregnancy, mothers of fluoxetine had an increased risk of birth defects affecting the heart. In the general population, 1% of babies are born with a heart defect. This rate is 2’% in babies whose mothers use fluoxetine. You can stop using ZEDPREX during pregnancy by reducing the dose after discussing with your doctor. However, your doctor may also advise you to continue using ZEDPREX based on your condition.
When taking fluoxetine-like drugs during pregnancy, especially in the last 3 months of pregnancy, can increase the risk of a serious condition called resistant pulmonary hypertension (PPHN) in the newborn, which leads to rapid breathing and a bluish appearance in babies. These symptoms begin within the first 24 hours after the baby is born. If your baby has such a condition, consult your doctor immediately.
Care should be taken during pregnancy, especially in the last stage of pregnancy or just before birth, as the following effects are reported in newborn babies: the state of hypersensitivity to stimuli (ability), tremor, muscle weakness, etc, problems during constant crying, sucking, or sleeping.
If you notice that you are pregnant during your treatment, consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Can it be Used During Breastfeeding?
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.
Fluoxetine passes into breast milk and can cause side effects in infants. If you absolutely need to breastfeed, your doctor may reduce the dose of fluoxetine.
Vehicle and machinery use
This medicine may affect your decision-making ability or compliance. Do not drive or operate machinery without consulting your doctor or pharmacist.
What is ZEDPREX Active Agent?

Is It Used With Other Drugs?
This medicine may interact with some other medications. Interaction with the following drugs may occur:
Lithium, tryptophan; the risk of serotonin syndrome increases when these drugs are used in conjunction with ZEDPREX. When ZEDPREX is used in combination with lithium, your doctor will increase the frequency of control.
Phenytoin (used for sara); since ZEDPREX can affect the levels of this drug in the blood, you should be more careful if it is to be used together.
Tramadol (painkiller) or triptans (for migraine); increased risk of hypertension (increased blood pressure).
(e. phenothiazine derivatives, pimozide, haloperidol), tricyclic antidepressants, some antimicrobial agents (e.g., sparfloxacin, moxifloxacin, erythromycin IV, pentamide) antimalarial therapy, especially halofantrin, some antihistamines
(astemizole, mizolastin).
Flecainide or incainide (for heart related problems), carbamazepine (for sara), etc,
tricyclic antidepressants (for example, imipramine, desipramine and amitriptyline);
Because ZEDPREX can change the levels of these drugs in the blood, your doctor may reduce the dose of these drugs.
Tamoxifen (for breast cancer treatment); because ZEDPREX can change the blood levels of these drugs, your doctor may use different antidepressants.
Warfarin (watering the blood), Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (acting pain, fever and inflammation) or other drugs that can dilute the blood (clozapine and aspirin); ZEDPREX may alter the effect of these drugs on blood clotting. When using warfarin
your doctor will need to do some tests.
If you are currently taking any prescription or over-the-counter medications or have recently used them, please tell your doctor or pharmacist about them.
