What is VESANOID and what is it used for?
VESANOID are two-color, orange-yellow and reddish-brown soft capsules.
VESANOID belongs to the group of drugs called retinoids, which are structurally related to vitamin A. Reduces the proliferation of certain types of diseased blood cells.
VESANOID is supplied in glass bottles containing 100 capsules.
VESANOID is prescribed by doctors for the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia, a type of blood disease.
What are the Side Effects?
Like all medications, there may be side effects in people who are sensitive to substances contained in VESANOID urethra.
In rare cases, VESANOID may increase your blood calcium levels; therefore, your doctor should monitor these levels during treatment. Other blood disorders may develop.
Side effects are given as shown in the following categories:
Very common: 10 hospitals can be seen in at least 1.
Common: less than one in 10 hospitals, but more than one in 100 patients.

If you have one of these, you have a serious allergy to VESANOID. You may need immediate medical attention or hospitalization.

How is VESANOID Used?
Always take VESANOID exactly as your doctor says. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Depending on the nature of your disease, your response to VESANOID urethra, your weight and height, your doctor will prescribe the dose that is sufficient for you.
The daily dose is 45 mg/m for adults and consists of about 8 capsules, divided into two equal doses. You can use VESANOID for up to 90 days. During or immediately after treatment with VESANOID, your doctor will begin treatment with other medications.
Use in children
The treatment dose is the same as that administered in adults. Children who experience severe headaches during treatment may receive a lower dose.
Use in the elderly:
There is no need for dose adjustment in the elderly.
Special Use Cases
Adults with kidney or liver diseases will receive a lower dose of 25 mg/m ’.
Swallow the capsules with water, preferably with food, or shortly after eating. Do not chew the capsules.
If you have an impression that the VESANOID ’in effect is too strong or weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Food and Beverage Consumption with VESANOID

Is it Used During Pregnancy (Pregnancy) Period?
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.
• You should not become pregnant while using VESANOID and until one month after the end of VESANOID treatment. If you become pregnant during these periods, your baby is more likely to be born with defects. For this reason, you and your partner should apply effective and continuous birth control methods while using VESANOID and until one month after the end of VESANOID treatment. Your doctor will tell you which methods you can use.

Can it be Used During Breastfeeding?
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.
VESANOID can harm the baby by being involved in human milk. Therefore, you should not breastfeed your baby while taking VESANOID.
Vehicle and machinery use
Your ability to drive or drive machinery while using VESANOID may be reduced; especially if you are experiencing dizziness or severe headaches.
What is VESANOID Active Ingredient?
VESANOID soybean oil contains. If you are allergic to peanuts or soy, do not use this medicinal product.
VESANOID contains sorbitol. If you have previously been told by your doctor that you are resistant to tolerating certain sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
Is It Used With Other Drugs?
Since using more than one drug at a time can strengthen or reduce the effect of each drug, it is very important to tell your doctor about them. Therefore, do not take any other medication with VESANOID unless you have informed or approved your doctor.
Medications to take special care when taking VESANOID include: rifampicin and erythromycin (antibiotics), glucocorticoids (for eligia and inflammation), phenobarbital (for epilepsy), pentobarbital (for insomnia), ketoconazole (for dermatitis), cimetidine (for stomach ulcers), verapamil and diltiazem (for heart problems or high blood pressure), cyclosporine (used after organ or bone marrow transplants), and tranexamic acid, aminocaproic acid and aprotinin (used to reduce bleeding).
If you are taking low-dose progestogen enler (mini pill) for birth control purposes, your doctor will tell you to discontinue this medication and prescribe you a different birth control pill.
You should not take tetracyclines (a type of antibiotic) or vitamin A while taking VESANOID.
If you are currently taking any prescription or over-the-counter medications or have recently used them, please tell your doctor or pharmacist about them.
