What is Valdoxan Used For?
Valdoxan belongs to the group of drugs (other antidepressant drugs) used to treat depression and has been prescribed for your depression treatment.
Depression is a mood disorder with a level of continuity that negatively affects daily life. Symptoms of depression vary from one person to another. But general symptoms include loss of interest and pleasure, crumbling mood, loss of enegy, sleep, appetite and sexual problems, feelings of worthlessness, indecent regret and guilt, pessimism, helplessness and attention problems.
What are Valdoxan Side Effects?
Like all medications, there may be side effects in people who are sensitive to substances contained in Valdoxanetine.
Stop using Valdoxanu if any of the following happens and report it to your doctor immediately or contact the emergency department of the nearest hospital to you.
- Widespread redness or rash on the skin (eritematous rash),
- Percent edema (swelling) and angioedema (swelling that can cause breathing or swallowing difficulties in the face, lips, tongue and/or throat), etc,

How is Valdoxan Used?
The recommended dose of Valdoxan is one tablet (25 mg) before bedtime. In some cases, when prescribed by your doctor, the dose may be increased to two tablets (50 mg) before bedtime.
From the second week of treatment, Valdoxan begins to show its effect in most depressed patients. Even if you feel well, your doctor will recommend that you continue treatment with Valdoxan so that the symptoms of depression do not recur.
Depression should be treated for at least 6 months to relieve symptoms.
Even if you feel good, do not stop using your medicine without consulting your doctor.
How to leave it and switch to Valdoxanata when using an antidepressant medication?
- If your doctor wants to switch from an antidepressant (sertraline, escitalopram, fluoxetine, venlafaxine, or duloxetine) to Valdoxan, the SSRESNRI group you have previously used will advise you on how to discontinue your previous treatment when starting Valdoxana.
- Even if you gradually reduce the antidepressant medication you used before, you may experience discontinuation symptoms due to stopping the medication for a few weeks.

Valdoxan is for use by mouth.
Swallow the tablets without chewing with enough water.
The effect of Valdoxan has not been documented in patients 75 years of age or older. For this reason, Valdoxan should not be used in patients of this age group.
Is Valdoxan used in kidney and liver failure patients?
- As a result of the individual evaluation to be performed by your doctor in patients with renal insufficiency, it will be determined whether you can safely use Valdoxane.
- Before starting treatment and during the course of treatment, at weeks 3, 6, 12, and 24, your doctor will do laboratory tests to check that your liver is functioning properly. If your doctor increases the dose to 50 mg, these tests should be performed at the beginning and during the treatment period at 3, 6, 12 and 24 weeks. What to Do in case of Overdose?
Cases of overdose with Valdoxan are limited, pain in the upper abdomen, drowsiness, fatigue, agitation (transcendence/unrestlessness), anxiety, tension, dizziness, cyanosis (purple) and fracture have been reported.

Suicidal thoughts and worsening of your depression
- Depression has been associated with suicidal thinking, suicidal behavior, and an increased risk of self-harm. As with all depression medications, signs of recovery can only be achieved with treatment lasting a few weeks. During this period, symptoms of depression may persist.
The likelihood of thinking about suicide may increase in the following situations:
- If you have had thoughts of killing yourself or harming yourself before, you are a young adult. Clinical studies have proven that suicide is more common in young adults with psychiatric problems (less than 25 years of age).

What is Valdoxan Active Agent?
This drug contains 61.84 mg of lactose monohydrate in each tablet. If you have been shown by your doctor to have sensitivity to certain types of sugar, or if you have diabetes (diabetes), consult your doctor before using this medicine.
