What is Rennie Used For?
- In diseases that require the binding of stomach acid:
- Retrostemal burning and pain (a burning and pain sensation that radiates from the stomach or lower parts of the chest to the neck)
- Stomach complaints due to heartburn and acid secretion
- It is used for the removal of complaints related to stomach and duodenal bowel ulcers.
What are the Rennie Side Effects?
Like all medications, there may be side effects in people who are sensitive to substances contained in Renniein.
If any of the following happens, stop using Rennie and report it to your doctor immediatelyapply to the emergency room of the trail or the nearest hospital: you:
- Swelling of the hands, feet, wrists, face, lips or, in particular, the mouth or throat that makes it difficult to swallow or breathe
- Rash
- Fluffy rashes
- These are all very serious side effects. If you have one of these, you have a serious allergy to Rennie. You may need immediate medical attention or hospitalization.
- Especially in patients with renal insufficiency: nausea, vomiting, muscle weakness, rhythm disturbance in the heart, confusion of consciousness, low blood pressure, weakening of reflexes, bone pain, constipation, abdominal pain
- Stomach disorders
- Diarrhea
- In patients with milk alkali syndrome: Inability to taste, calcification, chronic fatigue, headache, loss of appetite, weight after meals, lethargy
These are all serious side effects. Urgent medical intervention may be required.

How is Rennie Used?
Unless your doctor has given you a separate recommendation; adults and children over 12 years of age should take 3 tablets per day, preferably one hour after meals, and 1 or 2 tablets before going to bed. Provided that you do not exceed 11 tablets per day, you can take 1 or 2 tablets when you have burning or stomach pain in the stomach and/or chest.
Important information about auxiliary substances contained in Rennie
- This medicinal product contains sugar. If you have previously been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to certain sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
It can be harmful to your teeth if you use it for two weeks or longer.

Rennie Special Use Cases
Renal failure:
- Rennie should not be used for a long time in those with kidney failure. In those with severe kidney failure, it should not be used at all..

What to Do in case of Rennie Overdose?
- High dose intake with Rennie at one time is not expected to give a symptom. However, using high doses for a long time (several months) can cause increased blood calcium level, increased urine calcium level, increased blood pH due to hydrogen loss (metabolic alkalosis) and kidney failure.

- Tetracycline, cephalosporin group antibiotics
- Vitamin D
- Thiazide type diuretic drugs
- Digoxin type heart medications
- Chloroquine(drug used for prevention and treatment of malaria)
- Allopurinol (drug used to treat rheumatism and gout, among other treatments)
- Isoniazid (antibiotic used to treat tuberculosis)
- Kaptopril, propranolol (high blood pressure medications)
- Levothyroxine (medication used in the case of excessive work of the thyroid gland),
- Ketoconazole(medication against fungal disease)
- Gabapentin (a drug used for the treatment of pain of sara and nervous origin)
- H2blockers (drugs used against stomach burning),
- B I phosphate derivative drugs (drugs used to treat bone resorption)
- Phosphate, fluoride or iron-containing drugs
- Chlorpromazine (drug used in the treatment of psychotic diseases)
- Dicumarol (medication that prevents blood clotting)
- Eltrombopag (In combination with a decrease in the number of platelet cells that cause blood clotting, the drug used in the treatment of the disease that causes a rash of reddish, called purpura, in the body)
