Betaserc What is it? What does it do?

Betaserc (active ingredient: betahistine dihydrochloride) is a medication used to treat symptoms related to inner ear disorders, such as dizziness, tinnitus, and hearing loss associated with Meniere's disease, by improving blood circulation in the inner ear.

Usage Instructions

Standard dose: Adults: 2×24 mg tablets daily (morning and evening). Dose may be adjusted according to doctor's recommendation.

Food relation: The medication can be taken with or without food. However, taking it with food may reduce stomach discomfort.

Application warnings:

Not recommended for use in children under 18.

Requires doctor supervision in cases of pheochromocytoma, history of stomach ulcers, or asthma.

Should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding without doctor’s advice.

Side Effects

Common side effects:
Mild stomach discomfort (nausea, indigestion, bloating), headache, skin rash, and itching.

Rare serious side effects:
Allergic reactions (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat; difficulty breathing; low blood pressure; symptoms such as rash or hives).
